Projects

AC
  API Co-Evolution

This research is focused on the exploration of the issues surrounding reusability and the co-evolution of APIs and their clients. It is our goal to evaluate the techniques and tools used in practice to assess and mitigate problems associated with API co-evolution. Furthermore, we are interested in the development of new analytical techniques and tools to improve practitioner efficiency when dealing with these issues.

MP
  Multi-lingual Parsing

This research is focused on the development of techniques and tools which facilitate the parsing of multiple programming languages with a single parser. The goal is to design and develop multi-lingual software analysis tools to facilitate software quality analysis.

  XR Patterns

This research is focused on the exploration of the application of machine learning to the execution and evaluation of software engineering meta-studies. Specifically, we are interested in improving the quality of SE meta-studies while also improving the general process of conducting these studies in order to improve their reproducibility and maintainability.

AM
  Automated Meta-Studies

This research is focused on the exploration of the application of machine learning to the execution and evaluation of software engineering meta-studies. Specifically, we are interested in improving the quality of SE meta-studies while also improving the general process of conducting these studies in order to improve their reproducibility and maintainability.

VL
  VR SE Laboratory

This project is focused on the development of a multi-player virtual reality system for the purposes of facilitating software design and software engineering research. The goal of this work is to provide researchers the capability to conduct design and thought work both cooperatively across distances, while also providing the capability to share this work and its environment without having to share physical location.
